Psychology of Hypnosis

Hypnosis is a specific state of mental awareness. It is an alteration of your normal waking state of consciousness. Simply put, when you are in Hypnosis, you are in a different state than your normal waking state. What do you experience in your normal state of consciousness? In a normal, waking state of mental awareness, your mind is fairly or acutely alert (depending on the situation!) and your body holds varying degrees of tension.
